Designer Showcase

A Sneak Peek At Sleek Display

Wine and conversation flowed freely, February 28, at The Syndicate Designer Showcase, held in the development’s Sales Center, 1006 Olive Street. Fueling the party’s energy was the opportunity to view the newly opened 9th-floor display unit, decked out in the latest colors and styles (see Construction Update). From time to time, a group of over 200 party-goers — buyers and prospects, alike — would grab hard hats and walk a half block and take an outdoor elevator ride to the recently completed unit.

Around them was evidence of construction in full swing, good news for a neighborhood that, instead of an empty eyesore will have a vibrant building of 102 condos, 70 apartments and 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

“This Designer Showcase celebrated our progress,” says Craig Heller, principal of LoftWorks, the building’s developer. “Our condos are more than 40 percent sold. That speaks to the incredible excitement being generated about coming back to Downtown.”

The excitement continues to grow as three units were sold at the event.














Construction Update

Ninth-Floor Display Unit Just A Glimpse Of What’s To Come

Every day, more than 200 construction workers continue the massive gut rehab of the Syndicate building. Work on the 16th- and 17th-floor penthouses is progressing smoothly.

And now, with the opening of the 9th-floor display unit, prospective buyers can experience what redefining luxury every day really means.

People interested in Syndicate living should contact the sales center at 314-241-6500 to make an appointment for their personal viewing of the display unit. Visitors can now take in the quality construction, European finishes and clean lines. The unit features generous closet space, light-emitting glass block walls, mosaic tile and other luscious details. The western-facing unit offers a beautiful view of what the unique downtown neighborhood.

For The Coffee Connoisseur

What’s the secret to a great cup of coffee? The folks at Brevé Express Company, located just north of the Syndicate at 417 N. Tenth, would say it starts with the beans and ends in some amazing technology. The beans are from the mountainous regions of Central America and Africa, and are small-batch roasted to perfection. The technology? That’s simple. Just good old fashion sight, smell and sound.

In addition to specialty coffees, Brevé also serves up panini and wraps, plus soups, salads and sandwiches. Open for breakfast and lunch from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Brevé also offers ice cream and smoothies.

But, it’s the coffee that will keep its downtown neighborhood abuzz.
